Here’s how to spend Christmas in Cape Town

Meet Santa Claus and his elf, have a gourmet picnic, feast and other ideas

Last update: 21 December 2021

It’s Christmas and Cape Town is booming with events this week. Whether you celebrate Christmas or not, no-one is excluded and there are plenty of entertainment options. For example, you could lay out a gourmet picnic at Alluvia Wine, meet Santa Claus at V&A Waterfront or treat yourself to a three-course meal or buffet.

There’ll be charcuterie boards, pancakes, vetkoek, pizza, burgers and more. Get there early for a good parking spot by the entrance of the market.
