This week, Cape Town is where the world's travel and hospitality industry meets Africa's tourism industry and vice versa.

World Travel Market (WTM) Africa will take place at the Cape Town International Convention Centre from Wednesday 9 - Friday 11 April 2025.

ONE OF THE BIGGEST TRAVEL NETWORK EVENTS   

WTM Africa is one of six shows in the WTM portfolio, with others hosted in London, São Paulo, Dubai, Penang and Cannes. It’s Africa’s leading and only business to business (B2B) exhibition for both the inbound and outbound African travel and tourism markets. 

WTM is the hub of travel ideas and networking in the city. Visitors (and exhibitors) can generate sales leads, launch new products, raise brand awareness, and develop and maintain relationships all under one roof. Since its start in 2014, 8 300 trade professionals and 577 exhibitors have attended, along with 200 speakers.

WHAT EVENTS CAN I EXPECT AT WTM?  

126 Conference sessions. 705 exhibitors to get to know with their latest news, new products, and opportunities.

The 3-day schedule is packed with excellent presentations and panel discussions. 

A highlight of the weekend programme is the presentation of the WTM Africa Annual Trend Report. It looks at some of the biggest trends and shifts, and what they could mean for everyone working in (and passionate about) travel in Africa.  

For those wanting to network, there’ll be a speed networking event. Buyers hold five minute meetings with exhibitors, and if the introduction has been successful, WTM will even arrange a more in-depth meeting. 

There’ll also be a variety of conferences such as African Tourism: Stay Big or Go Niche?, Beyond the Big Five: Tapping into Africa’s Weird and Wonderful Tourism Niches, and The Untapped Potential of LGBTQ+ African Travel.
