On Thursday, 19 and 26 October 2017, Lammershoek Winery is partnering up with Now Showing, and inner city boutique, for an evening of good wine, great products and a huge emphasis on local being lekker.
Located on Waterkant Street, Now Showing gives local brands a platform to showcase their products. Downstairs, the boutique is a fashion first storefront, selling local designer outfits and accessories. Upstairs the store has a bit of a twist; it changes theme every two to three months. They set up a type of pop-up shop and sell different goods made by different producers. The constantly changing aesthetic of Now Showing allows patrons a greater range of local products and designers. Each reinvention will see new designers showcased, new colour palettes brought in and more discoveries to make.
As if that isn’t enough of a treat, the General Manager and Head Winemaker at Lammershoek Winery, Schalk Opperman will host complimentary wine tastings at the venue. He will take guests on a tastebud tour of Lammershoek’s wine offering, from white to red and rosé in between.
All of the wines that will be showcased were produced in 2015, which has given them two years to mature and develop their flavour. Amongst them, the Innocent range, which is a very easy drinking range that’s light on the palate and refreshingly zesty. Look out for the Innocent White and Red Blend, Innocent Pinotage, Terravinum White Blend, Terravium Reserve Syrah and the Mysteries Die Ou Man, which was harvested from the one of the oldest Tinta Barocca plantations in South Africa, planted in 1969.
ENTRANCE TO THE 2017 COMPLIMENTARY WINE TASTINGS AT NOW SHOWING
Entrance to wine paradise is absolutely free. There are only 20 spaces available for each evening, and these spots need to be prebooked. To book a spot, simply send an email to rsvp@svwcommunications.com.
We love everything local, so check out our guide to designers in Cape Town, and our view of fashion on the famous Long Street.
