“Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better.” ~ Albert Einstein
Raw, formidable and majestic; nothing is more resplendent than nature. Travelling to our fair shores once again, the London Natural History Museum’s Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition will be on show at the Chavonnes Battery Museum at the V&A Waterfront’s Clock Tower, from Tuesday, 1 December 2015 until Friday, 15 April 2016.
Uncover astonishing animal antics, displayed in over 100 images shot by some of the world’s foremost photographers in this field. From minute details to sprawling wide-angle landscapes, you’ll be in awe both at the power of nature and the skill of the camera wielders.
Known as one of the most acclaimed photography expos in this genre, the 51st edition of the event received over 42, 000 entries from 96 countries, which proves its prestige and phenomenal global reach. Thirteen images will be displayed that were taken by South African Finalists and Winners, so be sure to look out for them as they proudly stand amidst selected pictures from the world’s top shooters.
On select Wednesdays, some of the featured photographers will give a talk on their work, with presentations showcasing their stories and images. Keep an eye out for #WildlifeWednesdays and make sure you book well in advance.
