And 100% of your ticket price for Finding the Light – An Evening with Musical Stars will go to the Kolisi Foundation. It’s on at the Artscape Opera House from Wednesday 17 to Sunday 21 April 2024, with the gala night on Thursday 18 April.

It will be a star-studded showcase concert where musical theatre headliners come together to sing hits from beloved musicals like RENT, The Greatest Showman, Frozen, The Colour Purple, Into The Woods, Phantom Of The Opera, Annie, Guys & Dolls, Dear Evan Hansen, Sunset Boulevard, Chess, Little Shop of Horrors, Company, West Side Story and Les Misérables.

The stars include international soloist Kim Criswell (Olivier-award nominated for Annie Get Your Gun); Michael D. Xavier (Joe in Sunset Boulevard opposite Hollywood star Glenn Close); David Habbin, (West Side Story, Les Misérables, Amici Forever and co-founder of Finding the Light Foundation) and Broadway Star Nikki René.
They join South Africa’s musical stars Jonathan Roxmouth (Phantom of the Opera, West Side Story, Cats), Lynelle Kenned (West Side Story, The Sound of Music, Orpheus in Africa), Tshepo Ncokoane (Janice Honeyman’s Peter Pan pantomime, Kinky Boots, We Will Rock You – The Musical World Tour) and Lucy Tops (Kinky Boots, Funny Girl, The Romantix).

“We are also delighted to announce our ensemble of 15 brilliant young talents featuring student performers from Cape Town’s Waterfront Theatre School and LAMTA,” says Daniel Galloway, producer of the event alongside the co-founder of Finding the Light Foundation.
The two foundations share a common desire of making an enduring difference in South Africa. The Kolisi Foundation was started by Siya and Rachel Kolisi in 2019 to use sport and education to tackle issues like gender-based violence and food insecurity.
Finding the Light – An Evening with Musical Stars is a fundraising drive for the Kolisi Foundation. It launches with a star-studded gala dinner with Siya and Rachel Kolisi in London on 14 March, and will include a pledge campaign for the Kolisi Foundation running alongside the show.
You can also show your support by donating to the Siya Kolisi foundation via their website.
