Marc Lottering Comedy Show in Cape Town
The Mother City’s (multi) comedic personality draws his latest side-splitting stand-up series to a close with a final run at the Baxter Theatre
Ladies and gentlemen, please buckle up and make sure your tray tables are in the upright position because Cape Town’s madcap pilot is set to take off from The Baxter Theatre for an 80-minute flight that promises to have you in stitches. What are we on about? We’re talking about the return of the much-anticipated Cape Town leg of This is Captain Lottering Speaking, the one-man show featuring none other than Mother City comic Marc Lottering.
This is the final few weeks of shows after a successful six-month international series, and it‘s set to run from Tuesday, 2 December 2014 to Sunday, 17 January 2015. The knee-slapping stand-up session will feature the much-loved characters that have had audiences across the globe belly-laughing for years.
Only this time, Auntie Merle, Smiley, Galatia Geduldt, Travis, Pastor Brandon and Colleen the Cashier from Hell are making their way to the airport to pass judgment on everything from flying and airline food to the mile-high club and building castles in the sky.
Watching this master comic in action is a real treat, and his ability to truly bring each individual character to life has won him appeal both locally and internationally.
Not to mention, word on the street is that it’s considered very un-Capetonian if you haven’t seen Captain Lottering in action before. So, what are you waiting for? Hop aboard this flight of funny and get ready for take-off!
