Get your kids away from the TV and onto a stage with a theatre production that’s not only filled with stories they’d love, but will also allow them to get involved.
Every Sunday, until 23 February, the Courtyard Playhouse is running a kids improv show called Little Dahlings, a tribute to the work of legendary writer Roald Dahl.

HOW THE IMPROV WORKS
Improv shows at the Courtyard Playhouse are interactive. The kids in the audience get to direct the actions of the actors, get onstage to help and jump in to give suggestions.
The plot can go in any direction, meaning that each weekly show has a unique storyline and ending.
Currently, Roald Dahl classics such as James And The Giant Peach, Charlie And The Chocolate Factory and Matilda are rolled into one story and improvised based on the interaction from the audience.

WHAT IS THE COURTYARD PLAYHOUSE?
The playhouse is a bar and theatre on Strand Street in the CBD. Besides the bar with its old-theatre charm, there is an elegant restaurant that serves tapas, cheese and charcuterie boards as well as snacks like popcorn and chocolates for the theatre shows.
It’s open every day of the week; 6pm to 11pm from Monday to Thursday, 6pm to 12am on Friday and Saturday, and 11am to 10pm on Sunday. Please note that the restaurant only opens at 4pm on Sundays, however the snack bar will be open.

TICKETS TO LITTLE DAHLINGS
Tickets cost R90pp but you can get them at R60 when using the promo code “LAUNCH”. Space is limited so you must make a reservation. Bookings can be made on the Courtyard Playhouse Website.
