You don’t need to be the next Jackson Pollock to feel like an artist at these art classes. Get messy and creative with Acrylic Paint Pouring. Watch the paint swirl and mix over the canvas in a mesmerizing kaleidoscope of colours and patterns. It’s a fun, easy artistic technique and a form of abstract art – and deeply satisfying.

Paint pouring can be a messy affair (all the more fun), but you’ll come out with a special artwork. Image: The Paint Pouring People
Instead of using paint brushes, the paint is poured onto a white canvas using cups filled with acrylic paint. These react with each other when combined and create extraordinary patterns and designs, entirely unique each and every time.

There are a variety of colours, so make it as vibrant and bold or simple as you’d lik. Image: The Paint Pouring People
Making/creating art is a great way to release stress by increasing dopamine (the happy hormone) levels, brain plasticity and encourages creative thinking. It also aids focus and promotes positive mental health (Deane Alban) – not to mention the pride that comes with creating your own work (plus it’s great fun).

Each design is completely different, making it all the more exciting. Image: The Paint Pouring People
Join the Acrylic Paint Pouring class every Wednesday between 4 May and 27 July, 2022. Everyone is welcome, from enthusiastic beginners to more experienced artists. Whether you are there to learn a new skill, meet like-minded people or have some after-work fun, you’ll leave with an appreciation for this abstract art style (as well as your very own artwork).

Chat with others around the table and share ideas about your creations. Image: The Paint Pouring People
