Free Putt-Putt Special at Waterworld Strand

False Bay’s finest family fun zone is offering a complimentary game of mini golf with birthday party bookings

Waterworld Strand, located next to one of False Bay’s most beautiful beaches and only a 35-minute drive from Cape Town, will treat anyone who makes a birthday booking for a group of 10 or more to a free round at the on-site putt-putt course for all members of the party. And if it’s not your birthday, you’re still welcome to pop around for a game.

Even without the freebie though, the wholesome spot is a brilliant place to celebrate. The park is run by a husband and wife team, who are passionate about clean, safe fun for kids.

GOOD, SAFE FUN FOR ALL
The space comprises manicured, leafy grounds and extremely well-maintained facilities (waterslides, jungle gyms, a zip slide and cafe) and is supported by the smiling staff members, who are all trained in first aid, plus a full-time lifeguard. And because no alcohol, glass bottles or braais are allowed, there’s little chance that a “bad element” will ruin your little one’s special day.

The great thing about Waterworld Strand is that it appeals to a range of ages. On a typical day, you might see under-6s (and their parents) buzzing around in a special fenced-off area under the shade of milkwood trees, while older kids queue eagerly for the various slides, of which there are five.

A few teens will likely be playing on the (very impressive) rope ladder obstacle course, while next door hand-holding 20-something couple might be trying their hand at putt-putt. Some parents will be seated in the cafe area sipping coffees and nibbling on pizza, while others join in all the sliding and swimming fun.

BRING YOUR OWN PARTY PACKS
Waterworld Strand is an extremely affordable birthday option, especially as you  can bring your own food and drinks at no extra charge. Alternatively, the café can organise the catering  – they serve pizza, toasted sandwiches, boerie rolls and more. 

Despite current water restrictions, Waterworld is able to stay open during the long, hot summer months as it has a well point and multiple water tanks for collecting water for recycling. All the water is processed and squeaky clean.

Two hours water-sliding and play - R90pp (10–29 people water sliding)
2 Hours water-sliding & play - R85pp (30–50 people water sliding)

Note: Waterworld is open from September to the end of April. It’s also closed on Christmas day, 25 December 2019.
