Fifty Shades Of Greywater – A Workshop for the Waterwise
Guerilla House, who host workshops on sustainable living, have some practical tips on what you can do with all that greywater you’re saving
Approximately 50% to 80% of your current water allocation ends up as grey water. So what to do with all that dirty water during the water crisis we’re currently experiencing in Cape Town and surrounds?
The non-profit organisation, Guerilla House, have a couple of great ideas that they want to share with you. On Saturday, 10 March 2018 they will be hosting the “Fifty Shades of Greywater” event, a workshop where experts will be sharing and showcasing how to better optimise our greywater in and around the home.
WHAT TO EXPECT AT THE GREYWATER WORKSHOP
There will models for alternative greywater systems and DIY water filtration systems on display. As this is a practical workshop, you are encouraged to actively participate in learning how to create these models. Specific workshops will teach you what to do with greywater from your kitchen and bathroom, as well as how laundry and shower water can be used in other places around the house.
The event runs from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm, so guests are encouraged to bring lunch. You are also urged to bring our own cutlery and crockery, camping chairs, yoga mats, and pillows as well as notebooks and pens. This is an outdoor event at Guerilla House, Surrey Estate, so dress comfortably.
