Earn Your Sunday Beer At Sir Thomas Brewing

Run or walk the trails on the brewery farm then sip on some unique brews

Sundays don’t have to be lazy. Get active with run or walk on the scenic routes of Summerhill Farm in Stellenbosch, the home of Sir Thomas Brewing Company. What else do you get out of the deal? The chance to sample one of the many unique, handcrafted beers produced by the craft brewery when you’re done.

The runs are free and take place every Sunday from 8am.

BRING YOUR DOG ALONG FOR THE RUN
Run the 2.5km or 5km route through pristine landscapes and beautiful vistas of the Cape Winelands and Stellenbosch mountains. The venue is pet-friendly so you can bring your best friend along for your run and if you’re a Discovery Vitality member, finishing the run earns you 300 Vitality points.

BEER AND PIZZA PAIRING
Sunday isn’t renowned for being a beer-drinking day, but you’ll be hard-pressed to resist one of the many Sir Thomas Brewing Co brews after your run. From the Brewers Blonde to the Hangklip IPA, Lighthouse Ale and the Rooibaard Amber Ale. Each brew is handcrafted with ingredients straight from the Winelands to create flavours that are unique to the brand.

Runs also need to be fueled and at the Sir Thomas Brewing Co, they have the perfect fuel combination… beer and Pizza. The brewery hosts beer and pizza tastings with woodfired pizza options available.

A QUICK WORD ABOUT SIR THOMAS BREWING CO
The brewery is named after the founder of Pringle Bay, Sir Thomas Pringle. It was started after two long-time friends conceived the idea of a completely homegrown brewery during a surfing trip in the little seaside town. Although these friends no longer own the brewery, it still strives for the same goal of creating a great beer using products from the Cape Winelands.
