There’s a unique and inspirational exhibition running at Blank Projects, a gallery in Woodstock. Sure Thing! is Mitchell Gilbert Messina’s very first solo exhibition, and it runs until 5 October 2019.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Sure Thing! takes over a part of the studio where interventions, interviews and improvisations happen. Messina has turned the space into an exhibition using mock-ups, sketches and ideas in different states of completion to convey an aspirational oeuvre. He uses unique forms of production with collapsing video, performance, sculpture, installation and painting.
BLANK PROJECTS GALLERY
Blank Projects, the gallery hosting Messina’s exhibition, is a leading South African gallery in Woodstock. It was used as a project space for six years before becoming a gallery in 2012. It’s been a part of art fairs, including Cape Town Art Fair, The Armory Show and Art Cologne.
ENTRY TO SURE THING!
Entry is free and the exhibition will be running at blank projects until 5 October 2019. The gallery is open Tuesdays to Fridays, 9am to 5pm and Saturday 10am to 1pm.
