Jordan Wine Estate invites you to gather the clothing you’re not using for their annual second-hand clothing collection drive from 6 July to 31 August. Get rewarded for your good deed with a free coffee, or settle in to enjoy their winter special for two at the restaurant.
THERE ARE SO MANY WAYS YOUR CLOTHES CAN HELP
Jordan Wine Estate has held several clothing collection drives to help support over 30 amazing local charities in the Western Cape. They include PATCH, Helderberg Hospice and Stellenbosch Night Shelter, along with many others. Clothing donated is used to fill up their charity shop shelves or distributed to the local communities they serve.
HERE'S HOW IT WILL WORK
The estate will be ready and waiting for you and your clothes every day, Monday to Sunday between 10am and 4pm. For every 3kg of clothes you bring you'll get a complimentary cup of freshly brewed Black Magic Coffee. If coffee isn't your taste, you can also enjoy their perfectly steeped cup of tea with a salted caramel biscuit.
WARM-UP WITH THEIR INDULGENT WINTER SPECIAL
While you’re there, you could make it a date and head to the restaurant for the bakery’s warm winter sharing special. For the main meal, enjoy a slow-cooked lamb Rogan Josh served with pickled aubergine, toasted coconut, raita and traditional naan bread. For dessert, you can enjoy the chef’s patisserie of the day. The two-course special is served with a hot drink of your choice and goes for R150 per person.
THIS YEAR WILL BE DIFFERENT
Jordan Wine Estate's 12th annual clothing collection will be slightly different. This year, health and safety is the main priority. Your donated items of clothing need to be washed, folded and packed into clear bags labelled with their contents. Blankets and bedding are welcomed as well as summer and winter clothing. The drive will not accept underwear, socks, or shoes.
