Treat your family to a weekend of spectacular virtual guided garden tours, fascinating talks from conservation and horticulture experts, and some of South Africa’s most impressive botanical art. Get special ticket rates if you’re already a member of the McGregor Magic family, enjoy some of their free features, or buy an all access pass for only R100.
UNMISSABLE GUEST SPEAKERS
An exciting series of talks is scheduled, from expert horticulturalists such as Keith Kristen (nationally recognized expert in horticulture), Leon Kluge (who was set to represent South Africa at the Singapore Flower Show), Werner Voigt (the curator of Kirstenbosch Gardens) and John Moodie (leading bee expert and honey farmer). Topics include sustainable gardening, horticulture, food-growing and fascinating facts about South Africa’s biodiversity. There are also opportunities for guests to ask questions via Zoom. If you would like to attend, book your spot here.
GUIDED TOURS WITH EXPERT COMMENTARY
Sit back and relax while you are taken on virtual guided tours through nine of South Africa’s most spectacular gardens by drone, including a garden designed by Leon Kluge himself. Travel through lush green vegetation, up cascading water and through living arches. All of these tours are accompanied by commentary from experts in the field.
SPECTACULAR LOCAL BOTANICAL ART ON SHOW
There will be a virtual gallery open featuring beautiful works from local artists of their own gardens. A must-see is the hyper-realistic work of Geoff Visser, a very well-known botanical artist.
CHECK IN AT ANY TIME
The festival goes live on the 25th of September as part of Heritage Weekend celebrations and will remain open until the end of the year.
