Cook Traditional Indian Food on Long Street at Masala Dosa
Learn a few tips and tricks to make authentic Indian dishes
Broaden your repertoire of traditional cooking by learning to make established favourites in Indian cuisine. For this experience, you can't beat Masala Dosa, the popular Long Street staple for dishes like their signature light, crispy pancake-like dosas, which are wheat-free, fat-free and rich in protein, or their thalis, a collection of six bowls each offering a different taste.
COOK LIKE A PRO WITH HEAD CHEF RIYAZ MIR
Over November and December, Masala Dosa is reducing the price of their 3-hour introductory Indian cooking class from R475 to R350 per person. Classes are hosted on Saturdays from 9am to noon. Alternative days and times can be arranged upon request. The price includes everything you need for your culinary masterpiece, even homemade chai tea to sweeten the deal. Each class can accommodate between 4 and 20 people.

Riyaz Mir, the Kashmiri-born chef and co-owner of Masala Dosa brings his love, passion and knowledge of Indian cuisine to his classes and prides himself on making the class fun and insightful. Learn how to make three traditional dishes, two vegetarian and the other made with chicken, which you get to enjoy after preparation.
COOKING AS A GROUP BUILDS CONNECTIONS

CATERS FOR FUNCTIONS UP TO 150
You can let Riyaz cook with you, or cook for you. Masala Dosa also caters for functions for up to 150 people at your preferred venue, or up to 40 people at the restaurant. The menu is traditional and authentic Indian cuisine.
