Cook along with two top Cape Town chefs

You’ll get a box of ingredients for a 3-course dinner, plus drinks

This is a cooking lesson with a bit of a unique twist. Everyone that signs up gets their own cook-along box that includes all the ingredients needed for a 3-course dinner for two (including wine or a cocktail) curated by award-winning chef Bertus Basson. 

LEARN TO COOK LIKE A PRO
For the next two Thursdays, on 18 and 25 June, you’ll get to prepare a gourmet meal along with chef Basson and executive chef Luis Carlos via Ideas Cartel’s virtual coworking space, Cartel Connect Online.

The cook-along starts at 7pm and costs R995, including the ingredients you need and drinks. Delivery outside the City Bowl is R100. 

CHOOSE BETWEEN A MEAT OR VEGGIE BOX
The meat options consist of a Mediterranean Mezze Selection starter and a main course of chalmar spice-rub sirloin steak with coffee jus, pommes dauphine and pumpkin pie. Dessert is a basque cheesecake with miso caramel.

For the vegetarians, the starter and dessert remain the same, but the main course includes aubergine roulade and tomato fondue, pommes dauphine and pumpkin pie.

HOW TO SIGN UP
Order your cook-along box via the Ideas Cartel App under the “Personal Shopping” button, and specify whether you would like to schedule a delivery or collection. Orders close at 8pm on the Tuesday before each event.
