Celebrate the beginnings of Spring with blooms of wildflowers at The Good Hope Gardens Nursery in Cape Point. Between September and October, Veld and Sea are hosting four wildflower workshops dedicated to flower crown creations, wildflower tea, botanical cocktails and an edible floral feast.
IT’S NOT ALL DANDELIONS AND ROSES
Follow along as workshop group facilitator Kath Kelly takes you through a floral crown tutorial using a host of seasonal and local flowers. You can also find out how to preserve, prepare and incorporate seasonal flowers into your food or drink.
GET YOURSELF A FLOWER POWER COCKTAIL
Indulge in one or two botanical cocktails while you prepare a vibrant edible flower-inspired lunch. By the end of the workshop, you’ll not only enjoy a delicious flower feast, which you foraged and prepared for yourselves, but you’ll also head home with the day’s edible flower notes and recipes.
HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL WANT TO BRING
All you’ll need to bring is a bouquet of flowers you’ve bought, grown or foraged for yourself and a comfortable pair of walking shoes. Everyone is welcome to join the workshop. To secure a spot you can purchase their tickets online via veldandsea.com.
