A sweet deal on Turkish appetizers every Thursday at Byblos

Get a three-for-two deal on any authentic Turkish appetizers every Thursday!

Situated at The Palms in Woodstock, Byblos offers a taste of authentic sweet treats coupled with a delicious cuppa of choice with the three-for-two special every Thursday.

So you’ve just about overcome hump day, and the weekend is close within your reach, a Thursday seems like a good-enough day to spoil yourself with some delicious sweet Lebanese treats. Choose between Turkish delights and baklava to help you forget about the past weeks stress at Byblos.

Delight your sweet tooth with a selection of Mediterranean sweet appetizers, such as authentic gelatin and preservative free Turkish delights made by a Turkish family in Cape Town. A range of Baklava baked locally by a Lebanese pastry chef with the finest imported ingredients are also on the menu. “The Baklava is usually on offer at big occasions like weddings or family gatherings,” reminisces Mischu. “When I tasted this product from our supplier, I had to close my eyes and think back to my own country”. Made from a traditional ancient recipe, generally paired with the rich Turkish coffee, which is made with cardamom, brown sugar and finely ground Isabella blend, the signature coffee of Mischu’s coffee.

Byblos brews and serves the Turkish coffee in a unique and mild manner, balancing out the contrasting tastes of the deliciously bitter Turkish warm bevvy and the sweet appetizer. Unlike your standard coffee, Turkish coffee uses no filtration system, which means that all the coffee that the baristas have started with is still there, giving you the taste of a full-bodied coffee. “You don’t want to be drinking the last part. Towards the end, all the sediments are there, so you really need to understand how to drink Turkish coffee in order for you to fully enjoy it,” says owner Mischu Bou Rjeily. The sweet flavours are washed down perfectly with the strong, almost bitter, black Turkish coffee, giving you a new reason to be thankful to your taste buds.

Byblos gives you the opportunity to treat yourself, or extend your generosity and pick some up to treat your family to an authentic experience of Lebanese sweet treats. With any three packs of treats selling for the price of two, there will be enough to treat yourself and perhaps some guests or family too!

Get your hands on three packs of authentic Lebanese & Turkish sweet treats at Byblos for R88 per pack and only pay for two. For more information call +27(0) 21 461 2612 or email info@byblostrading.co.za
