HQ’s Live Music Mondays includes the #2FOR1Monday special: two salads, two steaks and bottomless chips

HQ, the Parisian-inspired city steakhouse loved by Capetonians, is known for its no-fuss but high-quality fare, and on Mondays you can order its signature dish of sirloin, salad and fries at half-price at its #2FOR1Monday special. To add to the deal, listen to established and up-and-coming acts, who play at Live Music Mondays.

Located in the heart of the Heritage Square building, HQ is close to convenient parking. The venue makes it perfect for a convenient, classy business dinner or catch-up with a friend, or even a first date if you want to make a good impression.

THERE’S MORE THAN STEAK ON THE MENU
Here’s what the steak menu looks like: it’s a grain-fed, top-cut sirloin covered in Café de Paris butter sauce, served with a salad of cos and iceberg lettuce topped with toasted pine nuts, parmesan shavings and a Dijon mustard vinaigrette, and served with a helping of skinny fries that only runs out when you can't have anymore.

Or look at the tapas menu for a range of delicious choices; from Saldanha Bay oysters (with a citrus mignonette and orange segments) to foraged wild mushrooms (with blue cheese, biscuit crumble, pea shoots and truffle oil). These can be enjoyed in either the low-lit lounge area or the open-air courtyard lit with fairy lights, which also boasts the oldest wine-producing grapevine in the southern hemisphere.

BOOK YOUR TABLE EARLY
Live Music Mondays run from 6pm to 11pm. Early diners can have their dessert and coffee in the ambient candle-lit lounge where the live music sessions kick off at 7pm.
